Eating
There's a wide choice of places to eat in Boquete. Restaurante La Conquista , on the main road, has a hearty set lunch for US$2.25, excellent fresh trout and a glorious selection of thick fruit batidos , while La Casona Mexicana , as its name implies, offers good Mexican food. The pizza at Pizzeria La Volcanica (closed Sun), across the road, is good value and popular with the locals. The nameless cafe next door to the Pension Virginia on the square offers burgers, sandwiches and tipica meals amid classic 1950s US diner decor, and you can also get cheap tipica food at El Sabroson , on the main street a couple of blocks north of the Parque. Finally, the friendly Cafe El Punto de Encuentro , a left turn two blocks south of the Parque, serves good coffee and breakfasts.
