The Costa Arriba , stretching northeast of Colon, features beautiful beaches fringed by dense tropical forest, the historic towns of Portobelo and Nombre de Dios , and excellent diving and snorkelling in the Parque Nacional Portobelo . If you're heading here from Panama City you can avoid Colon by getting off the bus at Sabanitas and catching a bus from Colon to Portobelo.
