The following are just a few of the more useful general sites. www.ancon.org Web site of the National Conservation Association, Panama's biggest and most influential environmental group, with excellent general information on Panama's national parks, ecology and endangered species, as well as scientific papers and information on voluntary work. www.ipat.gob.pa The site of the Panamanian Tourist Institute, IPAT, with plenty of basic information on Panama's many attractions and good links to hotels, airlines, tour agencies and other related sites. www.mundolatino.org/prensa/Panama Links to Panamanian newspapers and other media. www.panamainfo.com Good general guide to tourism, business in Panama, in English and Spanish, with excellent links to a wide range of Panamanian Web sites. www.panamatours.com One-stop resource for travel to Panama, with plenty of general information on Panama as a tourist destination and links to all kinds of related sites. www.pancanal.com Official site of the Panama Canal Authority with plenty of information and news, a history of the canal in English and Spanish, plus pictures and a live Webcam. www.thepanamanews.com Panama's weekly English-language newspaper - a good place to keep up with the latest events.
