Airlines Islena (tel 443 0179), Sosa (tel 443 1399) and Taca (tel 443 1912) are all on the Parque Central; all three also have ticket desks at the airport, as do Rollins Air (tel 443 tel 2177) and Cayman Airways (tel 440 0863). Banks Banco Ficahsa, just west of the Parque Central on 8 C, will change travellers' cheques, while Credomatic, Av San Isidro, 5-6 C, is the place for Visa and Mastercard cash advances. Book exchange The Rain Forest Store, C La Julia, off 9 C (tel 443 2917), has a reasonable stock. Car rental Molinari, Gran Hotel Paris (tel 443 2391, fax 443 0055). Hospital Hospital Euro Honduras, 1 C, Av Atlantida, Barrio el Centro (tel 443 0244), is a modern and well-equipped private hospital, with a 24hr emergency clinic and English- and German-speaking staff. Immigration Av 14 Julio, 1-2 C (Mon-Fri 8am-noon & 2-4pm; tel 442 0638). Internet access There are several cybercafes in La Ceiba, including the efficient Hondusoft (Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat 8am-6pm) on the upper floor of the Centro Comercial Panyotti shopping mall at 7 C between Av Atlantida and Av 14 de Julio, with fast connection rates for US$3.50 an hour, plus Web phone facilities. Intercon, at Av San Isidro, 6-7 C (Mon-Sat 8am-8pm, Sun 9am-7pm), is another reliable place; rates are US$3 an hour. Language school Centro Internacional de Idiomas, Av San Isidro, 12-13 (tel & fax 440 1557, www.worldwide.edu/honduras/cici ) is a good Spanish school with a/c classrooms. Rates are US$220 weekly for four hours of one-to-one tuition and homestay, including all meals. Laundry Lavanderia Super Clean, 16 C, Av San Isidro. Police tel 441 0795 or 199. Post office Av Morazan and 13 C, south of the Parque. Telephones Hondutel, at Av Ramon Rosa, 5-6 C, is open 24hr; or use the Internet cafes for Internet phone dial-ups. Travel agent Paso Travel Service, Av San Isidro, 11-12 C (tel 443 3186).
