Nightlife
Despite its tiny population, Utila is a fearsomely hedonistic party island. The hottest place in town for travellers is the Coco Loco Bar , just west of the dock, which draws a lively bunch of party heads with its extended happy hour and regular house, techno and reggae parties. Casino , by the dock, attracts a more local crowd with thundering reggae and a dash of salsa and merengue. During the rest of the week, the Mango Cafe is a popular spot for cheap beer and a quiet drink, while the Bucket 'o' Blood , very close by on Cola de Mico Road, boasts a bombastic sound system but fewer drinkers. Further along the Cola de Mico Road towards the new airport, the huge open-air Bar in da Bush can get very lively at weekends.
