Eating and Drinking
There are several restaurants in Bonacca, though most close on Sundays. None is particularly cheap, however, as most of the supplies have to be shipped in from the mainland. In Bonacca itself, try Bonacca's Garden , halfway along the main causeway, or the Best Stop , next to the basketball court, for snacks, cakes and yummy sticky buns. The funkiest bar in town is Nit's Bar , just east of the main dock, where the clapboard walls shake to classic reggae sounds, while you'll find Guanaja's best margaritas at the air-conditioned The End of the World bar on the main causeway.
worth the trip!guanajamama says "Guanaja is amazing - - - beautiful reefs and beaches, lovely people. Be prepared for sandfleas or you'll be frustrated. Try 7% or 9% deet products (OFF or Cutters) - - that's all you need. Also note that the hike to the waterfall just became much more easy. A local hotel owner recently groomed the trail and although it's still a bit rough, it's much easier to follow. Don't miss the waterfall!"
