Eating
There's a limited choice of places to eat in San Marcos. Inexpensive Guatemalan food is available at the Comedor Marquensita and Sonoma close to the church, and you can get pretty decent pizza and pasta at Rudy's Place at the back of the village, though it's best to order in advance. Otherwise, any of the hotels closer to the lakeshore have restaurants attached, with superb but pricey French food at El Paco Real . There's also excellent healthy eating (including delicious sandwiches and salads) at Las Piramides , while Posada Schumann also has a good menu.
