Arrival and Information
The bus drops you beside the Banco Inmobiliario, very close to the main drag, C Santander, which runs down to the lakeshore. Straight ahead, up C Principal, is the old village. The tourist office (Mon-Sat 9am-5pm; tel 762 1392) is on the lakeshore, with English-speaking staff, basic hotel information, and boat and bus schedules. There are a dozen or so Internet cafes in Pana and rates are very cheap, at around US$1.40 an hour. Amongst the best are the Green Earth , midway along Calle Santander, and Cafe Pulcinella at C Principal 0-72.
