Planes
The only internal flight most people are likely to take is from Guatemala City to Flores (from US$75 return), with four airlines offering rival services. A domestic airline, Inter (part of the Taca group), flies to various other destinations within Guatemala, though they have a poor reputation for overbooking and last-minute flight cancellations. In theory, Inter operates daily return services between Guatemala City and Puerto Barrios, Santa Cruz del Quiche, Quetzaltenango, Retalhuleu, Coban and Huehuetenango, plus weekend return flights to the Rio Dulce. Fares hover around US$40 to US$60 one way.
