Arrival and Information
Buses from San Jose currently leave TRACOPA's terminal at 7am and 3pm (8hr). Buy your return ticket as soon as you disembark. You can also fly here with Sansa; the airstrip is in the zona americana . The Banco Nacional, opposite the TRACOPA terminal, will change travellers' cheques and give cash advances on credit cards, but it's a tediously slow process. The correo is right in the centre of the pueblo civil and has Internet access. Land-Sea Tours (tel & fax 775-1614, landsea@racsa.co.cr ), on the waterfront at the southern end of the pueblo , organizes a wide range of tours, has a book exchange and is an excellent source of information.
