City Transport
Central San Jose is easily negotiated on foot, though buses are useful in the suburbs. The mountain town of Escazu is about twenty minutes' ride to the west, and the university suburb of San Pedro about ten minutes to the east. After 10pm the buses stop running and taxis become the best way to get around.
