the Mercado Central there's a host of decent sodas serving tasty casados . Outside Carnaval most people hang out with a beer in the evenings, but gringos in general and women especially should avoid most bars - especially those that have a large advertising placard blocking views of the interior. If you want to drink, stick to places like Mares or Brisas del Caribe . Playa Bonita is a great place for lunch or an afternoon beer if you're tired of town.
