You can fly into Tamarindo on Travelair and Sansa, and both have offices in town; buses arrive by the village loop at the end of the road. The loop effectively constitutes Tamarindo's small centre, with a Parquecito populated by New-Age jewellery-sellers - and even the odd pecking chicken - surrounded by restaurants. The small Banco Nacional, about 1km north of the loop, across from Supermercado Pelicano, will probably change dollars . are around US$2 per 30min), but most look so itinerant it's hardly worth listing their names. The Supermercado Tamarindo and Supermercado Pelicano sell basic foodstuffs. For getting around the area, and out to Playa Langosta, you could rent a scooter or a mountain bike from Tamarindo Rental Tours or from the surfboard/rental place next to Cabinas Marielos , or even rent a car for a day or two from Economy Rent a Car, next to the Frutas Tropicales soda on the main road.
