peninsula, via Liberia, but leave yourself plenty of time on weekends (Fridays and Sundays especially) and holidays, when the line-up of traffic can mean waits of four to five hours. Whatever time you cross, and in whichever direction, be in line about an hour before departure. Unless curtailed by bad weather in the wet season, eastbound crossings take place on the half-hour between 6.30am and 8.30pm, westbound every hour on the hour from 6am to 8pm - it takes twenty minutes.
