Belize City's selection of restaurants is becoming gradually more varied, and there's plenty of seafood and steaks available, though the tasty but monotonous Creole fare of rice and beans still predominates. There's a preponderance of Chinese restaurants - usually the best bet for vegetarians - and some very good Lebanese and Indian restaurants. The big hotels have their own restaurants, which are naturally quite expensive, but with much more varied menus. Be warned that many restaurants are closed on Sunday. In the listings we have quoted a phone number in places where it is recommended you should reserve a table or for those places which offer a delivery service .
