WATER ISLAND (ferry from Crown Bay Marina; US$3 each way) has a small population but is slowly developing into the fourth USVI - bring a picnic and spend the day lazing on its glorious sandy beaches or cycling round the island. Water Island Bike Tours at Crown Bay Marina (tel 340/714-2186) do three- to four-hour bike tours of the island, mostly on paved roads (US$49).
