Port of Spain Drinking, Nightlife and Entertainment

Drinking, Nightlife and Entertainment

Trinidadians seem to live to party, so it's no surprise that Port of Spain boasts excellent nightclubs , though fetes - large outdoor parties advertised by posters - are a better option if you want to immerse yourself in the local lifestyle. Most bars and nightclubs come alive after 10pm and are busiest from Thursday to Sunday. The capital also boasts a number of good theatre companies, including the Trinidad Theatre Workshop (TTW), which specializes in the work of Derek Walcott. During Carnival time a hectic schedule of fetes, competitions and calypso tents makes excellent entertainment. Check and for an updated calendars of events.
