Most of the island's sights outside Kingstown and the main resort areas are accessible from the coastal highway that runs up both the island's Leeward and Windward coasts. However, except for St Vincent's southwest corner, where a few roads penetrate inland, St Vincent's mountainous interior can be reached only via walking trails, and in one case only by boat.
