Getting Around
A treacherously steep and twisted - if well-paved - road snakes along the southwest coast, making the trip from Castries to Soufriere an entertaining drive, but bus schedules between the two towns are a labyrinthine affair. If you're based in Soufriere and want to travel to the capital, infrequent services along the west coast (particularly in the afternoon) mean it's often easiest to first travel south to Vieux Fort, and switch buses there for the final leg of the trip; you should allow the better part of a day for the journey.
