Information, Websites and Maps
Before you leave home, it's worth contacting the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), which will send out brochures on the main tourist attractions, schedules of events, accommodation listings and a good road map. Once in Jamaica, you can get the same information from JTB desks at the Kingston and Montego Bay airports, and JTB offices in the main towns. Jamaica has no entertainment listings magazine , so to find out what's going on, you have to rely on the radio (particularly Irie FM), newspapers, and flyers and banners posted up around the towns. The best road map is Discover Jamaica , distributed free by JTB offices abroad and on the island.
