Undeniably, the best beach in Portland has to be Winnifred. Forget San San and Frenchman's Cove - pay to enter enclaves - Winnifred is a real public beach. A beautiful horseshoe with a fresh water pool at one end and a fabulous restaurant, Cynthia's, at the other. Spend a fabulous day and support the local economy one time.
