Money and Costs
The official currency is the Cayman Islands dollar (CI$) , which comes in $1, $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100 notes; the coins are 1, 5, 10 and 25 cents. The Cayman dollar is based on 100 Cayman cents. The exchange rate is 80 Cayman cents for one US dollar and doesn't fluctuate. Both Cayman dollars and US dollars are accepted everywhere on the islands. All other currencies will need to be exchanged at either a bank or your hotel. All prices in this section are in US dollars unless otherwise stated
