Arrival and Getting Around
Most hotels offer guests a free shuttle from the island's airport . Getting around the island is fairly easy - the main road loops round to most of the main places of interest - and, for once, given the flat terrain, cycling is a realistic option, for short distances anyway. It gets very hot and dusty on the shadeless roads so always carry plenty of water and a hat. The Anegada Reef Hotel , on the front of the harbour dock, can help you schedule everything from bike rental to car rental to a shuttle ride to beaches on the north side of the island (US$6). Alternatively, call Anegada Taxi (tel 284/495-0228) or rent a vehicle (around US$40 per day) through ABC Car Rentals (tel 284/495-9466) or DW Jeep Rentals (tel 284/495-8018).
