Information and Websites
The best source of information on the Bahamas is the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism; you can contact the branch nearest you before you leave home. Once in the Bahamas, you can visit the local tourist offices at Nassau and Grand Bahama airports and in the main towns. Information on the Out Islands is available from the Bahamas Out Island Promotion Board (tel 305/931-6612 or 1-800/688-4752, ), which distributes small maps of each Out Island as well. All major bookstores carry scale maps of the Bahamas.
