Eating
If you're not sure what to eat in PG, eat fish: it comes straight from the sea and is guaranteed fresh. The Relax Thai Restaurant in Sabang does brisk business with its P145 Thai curries and lighted joss-stick atmosphere. The Galley at El Galleon serves Filipino and foreign dishes and bakes its own bread. For tropical charm right on the water try Tamarind Restaurant in Sabang where the food fluctuates in quality but the view is wonderful. Opposite Tamarind is Ristorante da Franco which is part of the Atlantis Resort Hotel and does brisk business. On the main road as you come into Sabang is Tropicana, a two-storey bamboo edifice which has an eclectic menu but is particularly known for its pizzas. For something exceedingly different, the Sunshine Coast Bar and Restaurant (turn right at the main junction and walk for two minutes) has a Feeling Shitty Breakfast (P100) consisting of coffee, Coke, two cigarettes, cornflakes and fresh fruit.
