johndel beach resort is a nice place to stay, the rates are reasonable - 2K for 24 hours with cable tv, ref, shower and aircon. the food is reasonable or you could also bring your own. it has a swimming pool, billiards, table tennis. The people who serve are really nice. And it's just within the town proper. I think munting buhangin accomodation is rather unreasonable. They charge 2750 for a nipa hut that doesnt even have a toilet. And the receptionists (if you can call them that - kasi mukhang mga kanto boy) are rude.
Regarding Munting Buhangin, I agree that their rates are rather unreasonable & the receptionists are rude!
Moreover, their check in time is 2pm. Even if there are no people that are checked in, they still won't let the guests in a little early. This is the downside of being owned by a local as opposed to being owned by foreigners. Discrimination aside (since I am a Filipino also)... Filipinos are "mapagbilang" and always think that other people are always putting one over them!
