Sagada Practicalities

Practicalities

Buses from Baguio (Governor Pack Road) to Sagada (P136) terminate close to the town hall on the main street. There are no jeepneys between Baguio and Sagada, but jeepneys do leave Sagada for Bontoc , starting at 8.30am (1hr; P30).

Guesthouses in Sagada are extremely cheap. One of the quietest places to stay is the rustic Masferres Inn (under $5), at the far end of Sagada's main street, beyond the town hall, and it also does good chicken curry. Alternatively, try the plain and simple Sagada Guest House (under $5), above the bus station, or the Country

Inn & Cafe (under $5), opposite the town hall, which was once the governor's residence and is famous for its bright-green rooms. Next door is the popular Green House (under $5), while the Log Cabin Cafe, up the hill past the Sagada Guest House, does some of the best food in town. The Shamrock Cafe and the Shamrock II Yoghurt House, on the main street past the town hall heading west, are legendary for their pancakes and homemade yoghurt.
