Local Buses
Local buses and minibuses cover some of the same city routes as the fixed-route tempos, but they're really meant for longer journeys around the valley. They're cheap (no more than Rs10), but slow and extremely crowded, so they're easiest to cope with if you get on at the starting point. A separate electric trolley bus service also operates to Bhaktapur every fifteen minutes during the day. The starting point is on Tripureswar Marg near the National Stadium.
