Your chances of coinciding with a festival while in Kathmandu are good, since the capital spends about a month out of every year partying. Those listed are just the main events; neighbourhood festivals happen all the time. Dates are determined according to the lunar and Nepalese calendars, and vary from year to year - enquire at a tourist office for dates, or consult a Nepalese calendar ( patro), available in some bookshops.
Can you help...?Me says "I have never been to Kathmandu in my life... but does anyone know any kind of websites that might help about the basic knowledge of it? I'm doing a report on it and everything I search for is off-topic or has to do with tours and vacations and stuff. SO HELP ME!!!!!!!"
