Sports and Recreation
The National Stadium, at the southern end of Kantipath, hosts frequent football (soccer) matches, and is also the headquarters for various martial arts clubs. The Soaltee Holiday Inn, Everest Hotel and Yak & Yeti all have tennis courts, open to non-residents for a fee. For golf , make for the Royal Nepal Golf Club, near the airport, Nepal's only eighteen-hole course, where hazards include monkeys from nearby Pashupatinath (tel 472836; temporary memberships available). Kathmandu's public swimming pool, behind the National Stadium, is open daily (except winter) for morning and afternoon sessions (women only on Sundays), and admission is Rs20. The Hotel de l'Annapurna, Woodlands-Dynasty Plaza and Yak & Yeti all allow non-guests to use their pools for about Rs400.
