If you're tiring of the serious side of Hinduism, head to Hanuman Durbar , a small kuti 150m south of Ramanand Chowk on the west side, which until 1998 was home to the world's biggest (well, fattest) rhesus monkey. Bauwa Hanuman is much missed by local shopkeepers, for he was the area's major attraction. Priests still proudly display photos of the late great monkey, and they seem to be fattening up another one as his replacement.
