Gomantong is both fascinating and horrifying at the same time. The walk-way is slick with poop. The guardrails are slick with poop and cockroaches. The cave walls crawl with cockroaches and largish evil-looking centipedes. It smells. You will get pooped on. Bring a hat, sturdy, grippy shoes and a strong constitution. On the plus side, you will never see this sort of ecosystem ever again. I wouldn't have expected to see crabs in the muck and yet there were dozens crawling around the cave entrance.
