Getting Around
Public transport in Malaysia is extremely reliable, though not as cheap as in other Southeast Asian countries. Buses and long-distance taxis are most useful on the Peninsula. Getting around in Sarawak has become easier with the sealing of the coast road, though you may still have to use boats and perhaps the odd plane. There is no boat service between Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia, so you'll have to fly.
