Eating and Drinking
Around Obiya-machi arcade is the best area for eating and drinking in Kochi, although on Wednesday you'll find several places closed. There are also many cheap yatai (street stalls), serving oden , ramen, gyoza and beer around town - a good location on a balmy night is beside the Enokuchi-gawa near the Bowl Jumbo centre. The top floor of the Seibu department store, next to the Harimaya-bashi, has a range of restaurants with picture menus and plastic-food window displays. If you are looking for a cheap pick-me-up, Mister Donuts is your best bet: it does bottomless cups of coffee at two outlets on Dencha-dori.
