Fifa World Cup 2002
The new spiral-structured Miyagi Stadium (49,281 seats, www.worldcup-miyagi.com/e/index.html) , at Sugayachinai Rifu-cho, is a venue for the 2002 soccer World Cup . Follow the Tohokou main line to either Iwakiri Station or Rifu Station, and take a taxi (10min) to the stadium.
