A short bus ride south from Yokohama will bring you to Negishi, and the traditionally Japanese lakes and winding pathways of Sankei-en . It's well worth devoting half a day to exploring this large stroll-garden with its historic tea arbours, aristocratic residences and farmhouses. Heading north towards Tokyo, make some time for Shin-Yokohama , with its delightfully quirky museum dedicated to noodles.
