Eating
Probably the best food in Waikabubak comes from the warung that set up, particularly at night, along Achmad Yani close to the bus terminal. Otherwise, try Ronita, Jl Basuki Rahmat, which has comprehensive karaoke facilities, but is still one of the best places to eat in town. Rumah Makan Surabaya, next to the BRI bank, has a limited menu, but the sate is pretty good and the proprietor is very friendly. Hotel Manandang has the flashiest restaurant in Waikabubak, twice the price of something similar on the street. It is, however, by far the most hygienic option, and their fried tempe is excellent.
