Boat Trips To Sumbawa, Komodo and Flores
Various travel agencies on Lombok and the Gili Islands run boat trips via Sumbawa and Komodo to Flores. These involve several snorkelling stops, usually some trekking, a beach party, sometimes camping and a visit to see the feeding of the Komodo dragon. Prices average Rp400-750,000 for a five-day/four-night trip, including all meals and mattresses on the deck. Most terminate at Labuhanbajo on Flores, but some travel by road and ferry to Flores and then sail back; round trips are more expensive. Air transport out of Labuhanbajo can be difficult to arrange, so allow plenty of time.
