Eating
Street stalls congregate every night on the KOREM Place, a small square by the river beside the Komando Regimen Militer building. Locally grown coffee is Pontianak's speciality, and served all over town in warung kopi. Possibly the city's best warung , the no-fuss warung Somay Bandung, Jl Sisingamangaraja 132, serves basic meals for Rp2500, and free drinking water. Corina, Jl Tanjungpura 124, is a clean budget restaurant serving Chinese and Indonesian food, including a particularly tasty crab omelette for Rp4000. One of Pontianak's few vegetarian cafes, Bahagia, Jl H. Agus Salim 182, serves unexceptional budget fare. Warung Dangau, Jl Jend A Yani, is a highly recommended mid-priced restaurant tucked away in the Taman Budaya and serving fine Indonesian food.
