Arrival
Arriving at Adisucipto Airport , 10km east of the city centre, walk 200m south of the terminal on to Jalan Adisucipto, where you can flag down any bus (Rp500) heading west to Yogya. A taxi costs Rp8000. The train station (Tugu Station) lies just one block north of Jalan Sosro, on Jalan Pasar Kembang. A becak to Jalan Prawirotaman costs Rp3000, a taxi, Rp5000; or catch southbound bus #2 (Rp500) from Jalan Mataram, one block east of Jalan Malioboro. All inter-city buses arrive at the Umbulharjo bus station , 3km east of the city centre. If you're arriving in Yogya from Borobudur, Magelang, or elsewhere in the north, you can alight at Jomber Terminal , around 3km north of the city centre, from where you can catch bus #5 (Rp500) to the GPO. From the local bus station adjacent to Umbulharjo there are regular services into town, including bus #2 (Rp500), which travels via Jalan Prawirotaman.
