Just a few kilometres southwest of Jungutbatu, the fabulous white-sand cove of Mushroom Bay has long been a favourite snorkelling spot. It's a great place, although don't expect peace once the day-trippers arrive from the mainland. Bungalows Tanjung Sanghyang ($5-15) has good-quality accommodation in a brilliant location at the northern end of the cove and, a couple of hundred metres inland on the Lembongan road, Bungalows Panca Dana (under $5) has cheaper, adequate rooms, but you'll need to walk to the beach. To get to Mushroom Bay from Jungutbatu, either charter a boat (Rp3000-5000 per person) or else it's an hour's hot walk. Take the first turning to the right as you enter Lembongan village on the walk over the hill from Jungutbatu; it's 1km from the turning.
