If you arrive in Bali on the Bounty boat from Gili Meno or Lombok, on the Mabua Express from Lombok, or on a Pelni ship from elsewhere in Indonesia, you'll dock at Benoa Harbour (Pelabuhan Benoa), located off the end of a long causeway that juts out into the sea 5km southwest of southern Sanur. The easiest way to get to and from Benoa Harbour is by metered taxi; it's a short ride of about Rp10,000 into Sanur, or about Rp15,000 to Kuta. To enquire about Pelni boats to other islands, call the Pelni office (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, Sat 8am-12.30pm; tel 0361/721377). Bounty and Mabua Express boats can be booked through almost any tour agent in the main tourist resorts, but you'll need to arrange your own transport to the port.
