Minefields: A Warning
Sections of the Mediterranean coast and the desert inland are still littered with unexploded shells and minefields . Never stray into wired-off areas or anything that resembles an abandoned camp or airfield. The best indication of safe and dangerous areas is the behaviour of locals. By sticking to well-worn paths and regular beaches, you'll be quite safe.
