By car, it is a 2 hour drive from Alexandria to El-Alamein. You will pass El-Hammam approx 1/2 hr before El-Alamein. It is a town. There is a police check-stop there. The town El-Alamein is approx 10 minutes before the El-Alamein Italian War Graves.
